The Challenge
Estimating was handled in a complex spreadsheet that was difficult to use and easy to break. After completing the estimate, the staff had to manually transfer numbers and terms into a long service contract. This process took several hours per job and frequently introduced errors, creating risk in both pricing and legal terms.
The Solution
We combined estimating and contract generation into a single, guided Excel system. Users enter inputs in clearly defined fields, while calculations and contract language update automatically in the background. All pricing and service details flow directly into the correct sections of the contract. We also added controlled printing so staff can generate only the pages needed for each customer.
The Result
Estimate and contract preparation time dropped by several hours per job. Errors caused by manual re-entry were eliminated, and every contract now matches the approved estimate. The process is faster, easier to use, and far more reliable.
